Habitat: Prairies, openings in woods with sun, meadows, and along the edge of woods

Seasons: The roots are available year-round (perennial).

Medicinal uses: The roots contain salicylic acid, which is in aspirin, and relieves toothaches.

Preparation:  Chew the goldenrod root to relieve toothaches.
