Star: Maia 
Stellar Classification: B8 III -blue giant

Background: Maia belongs to the Taurus constellation. In addition, Maia was one of the seven daughters of Atlas in Greek mythology. This star's mass is four times greater and has a radius that's 5.5 times greater than our sun. The constellation of Taurus is a zodiac constellation in the northern hemisphere. It is best seen in the winter and the name Taurus means "bull" in Latin.
