Stellar Classification: B8 III -Giant star


Background Information: Gienah Corvi belongs to the Corvus constellation in the southern celestial hemisphere. Corvus in Latin means "raven" or "crow." Gamma Corvi is about 154 lightyears from Earth (light we see coming from it is about 154 years old). Also, this star is a little over 4 times the mass of the sun.
