Background info: Alpheratz belongs to the Andromeda constellation. It is also 97 light years from Earth (the light that reaches Earth from Alpheratz is 97 years old). Alpheratz is a binary star and is considered part of the Pegasus constellation. The constellation Andromeda is north of the celestial equator and is most visible during fall evenings. In addition, Andromeda is one of the largest constellations (1,400x the size of a full moon).
